WPS Office: Test These Features & Share Your Results!
Hey everyone! π We've got some cool new features in WPS Office, and we need your help to make sure they're working flawlessly. This is where you, the awesome community, come in! We're looking for volunteers to jump in and test some key areas. Your feedback is super valuable, and it'll help us make WPS Office even better. So, let's dive in and see what needs your expert touch!
Untested Features: Let's Get Testing!
We have a few areas that could really use some thorough testing. Here's the breakdown of what needs your attention, plus some details to get you started. If you have any experience in testing, or if you are new, it is very welcome! Don't hesitate to participate in any of these areas to contribute to the project.
xiezuo App: Does It Play Nice?
So, the xiezuo app is the first item on our testing checklist. It launches, which is a good start, but then... well, it exits after a while. The big question is: is this supposed to happen? π€ We need your help to find out! If you've got some time, please try launching the xiezuo app and see what happens. Does it crash for you too? Does it give any error messages? Any observations you make are super helpful. Just post your findings in the discussion below! Even if you aren't a seasoned tester, any insight can help us. Was it a simple launch? Did you get an error message? Did it disappear too? These are just some of the questions we need to be answered to get the app to work as expected. So please share your results in the discussion! Remember to state the version of WPS Office and your operating system for accurate results!
Testing Tip: Try running the app multiple times. Sometimes, issues only pop up after a few tries. Also, check your system logs for any clues about what might be going wrong. If you're comfortable, take a look at the app's behavior in the background using your system's activity monitor (or equivalent). Does it use a lot of resources before closing? These kinds of extra details can provide key information to developers.
aarch64 Build: Calling All ARM Users!
Next up, we need to get some eyes on the aarch64 build. This is the version designed for ARM-based computers (think newer MacBooks with Apple Silicon, or some high-end Android tablets). Unfortunately, we don't have an aarch64 machine on hand for testing. π This is where you ARM users come in! If you're running WPS Office on an aarch64 device, please give this build a try and let us know how it goes. Does it install correctly? Does it launch? Does it work as expected? If you encounter any problems, please be sure to report them. The more details you can provide, the better. Screenshots, error messages, and a description of your setup are all extremely useful.
Important: When testing on aarch64, try the core functionalities of the program, such as opening, editing, and saving documents. Test with different document types (e.g., .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx) to see if there are compatibility issues. Make sure the features work correctly. Also, remember to test the responsiveness of the interface to make sure everything looks good. Also, make sure that all the programs are working correctly and that there are no problems in the application. Finally, please state what OS version and device version you are on when reporting the problem so we can reproduce it. So, if you're an ARM user, your contribution is greatly appreciated and can help make WPS Office even better on your device!
Multilingual Support: Speaking Your Language!
WPS Office is designed to be used worldwide, which means multilingual support is key! We need to ensure that the application correctly displays and handles different languages. If you speak a language other than English, this is your chance to shine! We need your help to verify that the application is correctly translated, and that it supports text input and display in your language. Does the interface display correctly? Are the menus and buttons translated? Does text wrap correctly in different languages? Can you input text in your language without any problems? These are all important points to check.
How to Test Multilingual Support:
- Change Your Language: Go into the WPS Office settings and change the display language to your native tongue (or any language other than English).
 - Navigate the Interface: Browse through the menus, settings, and other parts of the application. Does everything display correctly?
 - Create a Document: Try creating a new document in the word processor, spreadsheet, or presentation program. Type in some text in your language.
 - Test Formatting: Experiment with different fonts, sizes, and formatting options. Does everything work as expected?
 - Check for Errors: Pay attention to any strange characters, missing translations, or layout issues. Report any problems you find!

By testing multilingual support, you're directly helping WPS Office reach and serve a global audience. Your input will help ensure that everyone can enjoy the program in their language of choice! Your efforts are very much appreciated! Let us know of your experience by mentioning your language and the results!
Spellcheck Dictionary Extension: Keep Your Grammar on Point!
Last but not least, we need to test the spellcheck dictionary extension feature. This is a very useful feature. This is super important for users who want to make sure their documents are free of errors! If you are a user of any language that is supported by WPS Office, it's a very helpful feature! The current spellcheck dictionaries need to be tested to make sure that they are working. Does the spellchecker accurately identify spelling errors? Are there any missing words or incorrect suggestions? Does it work correctly with different languages and character sets?
How to Test Spellcheck:
- Install the Extension: Make sure you have the spellcheck dictionary extension installed for your language (if it's not pre-installed).
 - Enable Spellcheck: Go into the WPS Office settings and enable spellcheck.
 - Type Some Text: Write a document and intentionally include some spelling errors. Try different types of errors, such as typos, incorrect word usage, and grammatical mistakes.
 - Check the Suggestions: Does the spellchecker identify the errors? Does it offer correct suggestions? Are the suggestions relevant?
 - Test Different Languages: If you speak multiple languages, try testing the spellcheck with different language dictionaries.

Testing the spellcheck dictionaries is a great way to improve the quality of WPS Office. Your input helps to ensure that users have access to a reliable tool to help them make their documents perfect! Your contribution to this area is essential to make sure the end-users can have a better experience.
How to Contribute: Share Your Findings!
Ready to get started? Awesome! Here's how you can share your test results:
- Post Your Results: Simply add a comment below this thread with your findings. Be as detailed as possible! Include the version of WPS Office you're using, your operating system, and the specific steps you took to test the feature.
 - Screenshots Are Welcome: If you encountered any errors or visual issues, include a screenshot to help us understand the problem better.
 - Be Specific: Instead of just saying "it doesn't work," try to explain what doesn't work and how it's failing. For example, "The spellchecker doesn't recognize the word 'example'" is much more helpful than "spellcheck is broken." Be as specific as possible.
 - Ask Questions: If you're unsure about something, don't hesitate to ask! We're here to help.

Thank You for Your Help! π
We really appreciate your time and effort in helping us test these features. Your contributions will help make WPS Office even better for everyone. So, get testing, share your results, and let's work together to create a fantastic office suite! Happy testing, and thanks again for your support!
